Plumbing Project Manager

(Mechanical Retrofit & Design-Build)

Salary: From $85,000.00+ per year

Position Summary

The Plumbing Project Manager oversees the end-to-end delivery of Plumbing Mechanical Retrofit and Design-Build projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects of moderate complexity are completed on time, within scope, and under budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and client satisfaction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

  • End-to-End Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of multiple plumbing projects simultaneously, managing moderate risk and exposure.
  • Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and technical requirements.
  • Budget & Resources: Develop detailed cost estimates, resource requirements, and project timelines.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks; develop and implement robust mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Site Supervision: Take overall responsibility for site activities, ensuring construction meets regulatory, environmental, and health and safety (OHSA) standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Relationship Building: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving issues and managing expectations to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status updates and project milestones to relevant stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure peak performance and quality.

Logistics & Operations

  • Material Coordination: Utilize company-provided vehicles to occasionally expedite tools or materials to the job site as needed to maintain project momentum.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of project engineering or management experience specifically within Plumbing and Mechanical building services.
  • Project Expertise: Proven track record of delivering projects on-budget and in compliance with all specifications and safety codes.
  • Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, plumbing methods, and industry standards.
  • Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead project teams, influence stakeholders, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Sophisticated negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Project) and experienced with modern project tracking software.

Education, Licenses & Accreditations

  • Valid Driver’s License: Required (Clean abstract).
  • Professional Accreditations (Assets):
    • P.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (or eligibility to qualify within one year).
    • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) or currently in progress.

Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Location: Mississauga, ON

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the invoice process, tracking payments, and ensuring all accounts are kept up to date.

Note: Extensive experience with Sage 300 is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payment Processing: Post daily deposits and process credit card/EFT payments.
  • Collections: Monitor aging reports and follow up with customers regarding overdue accounts via phone and email.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records and customer files within Sage 300.
  • Reporting: Assist the finance team with weekly and monthly AR reporting.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Software: Proficiency in Sage 300 (formerly Accpac) is strictly required.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar accounting role.
  • Excel: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables are a plus).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional collections and internal teamwork.
  • Organization: Ability to manage high volumes of data with a high level of accuracy.

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours.
  • Location: In-office position located in Mississauga (please ensure you have a reliable commute).
